Depending on the plan, it ranges from 30 GB to 5 TB per user. That gap is the factor that actually decides most teams' plan choice.
Storage per plan
| Plan | Storage per user |
|---|---|
| Business Starter | 30 GB, pooled |
| Business Standard | 2 TB |
| Business Plus | 5 TB |
| Enterprise | 5 TB, more on request |

There's a 66x jump between Starter and Standard. That's why a significant share of teams that start on Starter are forced onto Standard within months. No team storing video, design files, or large datasets stays at the 30 GB level.
What "pooled" means
On the Starter plan, 30 GB is counted per person and added to a shared pool. A 10-person team gets 300 GB in total, shared freely across the team.
In practice this cuts two ways. Quota from light users doesn't go to waste. On the other hand, one person can consume most of the pool, and the space can run out before anyone notices. The pool's usage needs regular checking.
The right question when choosing a plan
Instead of asking "how many GB do I get," ask "what am I actually storing?" - it produces a better answer.
A team working mostly in documents and spreadsheets won't fill 30 GB in years. A team keeping raw video, design files, or backups fills it in the first month. Headcount comes second in this equation.
On the billing side, Google's own page lists up to 16% off for annual payment. Checking the billing period before upgrading plans can produce a meaningful saving.
A note for anyone evaluating alternatives
Here's where we owe you some honesty. Lodos's storage module, Lodrive, offers 30 GB on the Basic plan and 50 GB on Pro. That level is comparable to Google Workspace Business Starter. It is not comparable to Business Standard's 2 TB.
So for a team doing heavy file storage, Lodos does not replace Google Drive. We'd rather say that plainly than bury it in the article.
The scenario where Lodrive makes sense is different: files living next to the work. A file shared in chat lands in Lodrive automatically, gets linked to a task, and there's no separate tab to go to.
If your storage needs are measured in terabytes, the right setup is using Lodos as the workspace and keeping storage on a dedicated service.
